In close cooperation with our toolmaking and our injection moul­ding departments we con­struct and maintain high-quality injection moulds, not only for our own production, but also as a service for other companies.

FROM THE IDEA TO THE FINISHED PRODUCT

In the biginning, there is an Idea, either a dedicated design or a vague concept, we guide our customers competently and completely during the entire design and development process.

Thanks to our knowledge of materials used, we check the eco­no­mic and technical possibilities and advice you about the optimum ways of im­ple­men­tation. With 2D-views and 3D-visualisations, photo-realistic pre­sen­ta­tions as well as the con­struc­tion of prototypes we assist you closely with modern CAD-systems from start to finish.

Our customers’ ideas and wishes keep us focused. Therefore, it is our intention to realise these as completely as possible whilst not neglecting the creative side. The special printing techniques, en­gra­vings, metallization, em­bos­sing or other non-standard finishing treatments – our pos­si­bilities are virtually un­limit­ed.

Prototypes and initial designs in 3-D printing enable our customers to hold a true-to-scale sample in a short term.

Construction

INJECTION MOULDS FROM A-Z

In close cooperation between toolmaking and injection moul­ding, our experienced team constructs high quality injection moulds for our own production and as a service to other com­pa­nies. For optimum design of the injection moulds, we use not only our CAD system, but also professional software for si­mu­lating the plastic injektion process.

Requirements such as meaningful ventilation, optimum temperature control, clean demoulding and, last but not least, the con­si­deration of the cha­rac­teristics of the plastics to be processed are in total fulfilled by our design engineers.

Production

TO THE POINT –
WITH A CONFIDENT HAND

Filigree and precision work – this is what pfefferkorn has stood for, for generations. Therefore, we develop, repair and maintain individual injection moulds – not just for our own production but also for other companies. External manufacturers from phar­ma­ceu­tical to industrial gas and con­struc­tion industries make use of our services to construct and build  injection moulds in ap­proved pfefferkorn-quality.

By means of grinding, turning, milling and etching our tool­ma­king department produces ex­cel­lent moulds, richly decorated with precise finish in detail for various applications.

HIGH-TECH IN PRECISION

Hand in hand with our CAD and our injection-moulding de­part­ment, injection moulds of high precision are made in our toolmaking de­part­ment with the latest computer-controlled ma­chine tools. The CAD-data is trans­mit­ted directly to our CNC-operated ma­chines.



We mill in 5 axle-treatment and are specialised in grinding moulds as well as hot-runner injection moulds with cylindrical needle shut-off, as used for material and cost saving multi-cavity moulds. We make precision moulds for injection parts with in­ter­change­able inserts or plates. Fine engraving and filigree details are etched into the tool by means of electrodes.



Within our quality assurance pro­gramme we check our plastic parts as well as our tools with 3D-coordinate-measuring machines. We also provide this measuring as well as the issuing of quality reports as a service to our customers.
